EVA Europe 2009 Call for Abstracts

We are pleased to announce the first annual Earned Value conference for continental Europe: EVA Europe 2009 (www.eva-europe.eu). The two day conference, to be held November 25th and 26th, 2009 at CERN, Geneva will be dedicated to topical issues at the forefront of Earned Value Management (EVA) practice and research. EVA Europe is organised by an independent team of high level experts in the domain in conjunction with the European Laboratory for Particle Physics (CERN), Ghent University and the Vlerick Leuven Gent Management School and the Geneva School of Business Administration (HEG).

The EVA Europe conference intends to become the pivotal event propagating EVA Best Practice throughout continental Europe. Over the years, EVA has become a vital project management tool. This technique has been widespread in the Anglo-Saxon world for a number of decades and continental Europe is increasingly following suit. It is essential that researchers in this field of expertise have a European forum to stimulate interaction on the theme.

EVA Europe will propose a balanced combination of experiential and technical presentations as well as training and academic tracks.

We hereby invite you to submit an academic paper or a position paper on one of the conference areas to be presented during the academic workshops.

The Conference Areas are:

  • Methodologies for Earned Value Management
  • Algorithmic design for project scheduling and monitoring
  • Methodologies for project monitoring
  • Methodologies for project performance measurement
  • Integration studies between risk analysis and project monitoring
  • Successful cases of project management and monitoring
  • Time and cost project monitoring
  • Time and cost project buffer management
  • Optimal allocation of project management reserves
  • Project performance stability studies
  • Comparative studies of EVM software tools

All accepted papers will be published in the conference proceedings. The EVA Europe scientific committee is in discussions with a major publisher for the publication of suitable scientific contributions.
